Where my inspiration came from

After I came up with the idea of doing a vlog style music video with Jorge, two picture came straight into my head of what the idea reminded me of (the picture is below). These pictures are my parents in the year 2000 when they were travelling through Europe before they moved in together from Argentina (their home) to Spain, a couple years later they had me.

The picture of my dad eating and my mother writing was exactly what I was picturing in my head of what the aesthetic of my music video was going to be; walking around, travelling, eating... Except I won't be travelling to another city or country to film with Jorge. The picture is very innocent and joyful, and it reminds me of the idea about little things making one happy. The fact they were sitting in the floor in some random street in Rome eating a piece of salami, made my dad happy, and that is the feel I want to imitate throughout my video. In these pictures my parents were young, full of joy, in love... and its kind of what I want to replicate with Jorge and me.

This picture below is when my parents were in Ávila and my dad held my mother upwards in a goofy way for the picture. They are both really happy in the picture and seem to be enjoying a lot. The landscape they have behind is "La Muralla de Ávila" which again relates to my idea to film whilst sight seeing.

My parents got divorced a couple years later after they had me, so all my life if held onto these pictures because they are the only moments where I saw both my parents happy, so in a way I feel like I'm trying to bring back to life these pictures I've kept for years but with Jorge. The fact i'm taking inspiration from these pictures it makes my project more meaningful and makes me want feel the same love, joy and youthfulness they had at the time.
